Choosing The Right Tyre

The only part of any vehicle that makes contact with the road are the tyres, so when choosing a tyre it is important to purchase a tyre that is compatible with your vehicle and of course, that fit your budget.

Premium Tyres

Premium tyres are manufactured by the large, well known brands such as Pirelli, Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear & Continental. These Manufacturers invest huge sums of money into Research & Development meaning superior performance when it comes to grip, wear & fuel efficiency.

Expected Lifespan: 20,000 miles.

Mid-range Tyres

Mid-range tyres often offer the best value for money, as they can be substantially cheaper than premium tyres whilst still offering very good grip, wear & fuel efficiency. A mid-range tyre to look out for is LASSA. LASSA are made by Bridgestone using the same technology, but can often be cheaper than it's big brother by 50%!

Expected Lifespan: 10,000 - 15,000 miles.

Budget Tyres

Budget tyres are suitable in a lot of circumstances, especially if the vehicle does limited mileage or is used in a city environment. Of course, with the cheaper price tag, comes compromises to grip, wear & fuel efficiency with Budget tyres often lasting less than half as long as a Premium.

Expected Lifespan: 7000 - 8000 miles.
